My sin is great your love is greater: But you have to suffer and pay for the consequences
No matter how big or small your sin is, the love of our God is greater than anything. Your past may be full of sins and abominations to our living God, we might have worshiped false images.
We only need to confess our sins to God, acknowledge that we are sinners and He alone is Holy. As God says in: Isaiah 1:18 let us settle the matter with the Lord.
He continues in Isaiah 1:19 that if we are going to be obedient then we will receive blessing. However, in Isaiah 1:20 if we rebel we will be suffer by the sword. “For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Forgiven but we have to suffer and pay the consequences
We have access to God’s forgiveness for those who will call upon His name and repent of the sin. However, we must bear in mind that we have to suffer and pay for the consequences of our action.
David for example when he committed the sin of adultery and murder with Bathsheba, He was forgiven by God when he repented of the sin as prophet Nathan revealed it to him in 2 Samuel 12:1 and so on.
God forgave David in 2 Samuel 12:13, BUT take note in 2 Samuel 12:14 it says that his son will die as a consequence of his sin.
Remember always. our God is a God of love. But He is also a God of justice.
